Empennage HS (5)
  12/10/04 Inventory all the parts. 4HRS. 12/11/04 Looking over plans and manual. Started cleco part together on HS front and rear spar. 4HRS. 12/15/04 Clecoed the 601pp skin onto the HS front and rear spar. 4HRS. 12/16/04 Drilled all the hole into 601pp skin. 4HRS. 12/18/04 Removed cleco and Deburred HS skin and front and rear spars. Waiting for tools. 4HRS. 12/29/04 Started riveting the HS together. Got the left side ready for the rear spar and right just started. 6HR. 12/30/04 Riviting HS Skin to Front and Rear Spar. Complete all except about 20 Rivets.5HRS. 12/31/04 Completed the HS today. 3HRS. 1/1/05 Going on a three week vacation to Winter Haven,Florida. Got to check out Gilbert Field Airport on some kit projects going on last Spring. I really like this place always someone building and the people are very nice and helpfull. And Lakeland is just a few miles away were Fun-IN Sun is held and a nice EAA museum. I will get started on the rudder when I get back.

  12/20/04 Started to cleco the VS together and drilled hole in the spar and ribs. Celeco the VSnowed 12" today Drilled all holes in the VS and started dimpling HS and VS.S skin to spar and ribs. 5HRS. 1/25/05Drilled all rudder stifffeners to the skins. Deburred the R-915 stiffeners and the rudder skins. 6HRS. Got the rudder stiffeners and rudder skins cleaned and ready to prime. HRS.2 12/28/04 Cleaned and Primed VS and HS Parts. Ready to start riveting 5HRS. Rivit VS Skin onto Front Spar and Ribs. Started cutting and triming the R-915 rudder stiffeners. I have them all shorten and ready to clean up. 5HRS. 1/24/04 I am back from a great trip in Florida and went to a Van's RV Fly-In at Lakeland,Fl on 1/15/05 and seen some nice RV's. The weather keep a lot of people from flying in. Also I got a tail wheel endorsement in a 170B Cessna at Winter Haven Airport from a great instructor Dick Woodsum. It had been 15 years since I had flown a tail dragger it was great fun.

  1/24/05 Cutting and trimming Elevator stiffeners Hrs. 3 1/26/05 Cutting and trimming Elevator stiffeners and match drill stiffeners to Elevator Skins Hrs.5 1/28/05 Laying out both Elevator skeletons Hrs. 3 1/29/05 Elevator drilling, deburring and dimpling holes for the stiffeners. Primed the elevator parts. Hr.s 4 2/4/05 Riveted both elevator skins to the stiffeners. Hrs. 4 2/8/05 Match drill skeleton to the right skin deburr and dimple the parts. Hrs. 6 2/9/05 Drilled left elevator skin to skeleton. Dimple both elevator skins and skeletons. Cleaned parts for primer. Hrs. 6
